Juliette Facque is a junior black belt at Kenpo Self-Defense Academy Roost-Warendin in France. She began kenpo when she was 7 years old, and she feels like she has always lived with Kenpo. It inspires her in her daily life, and she feels it is partly thanks to Kenpo that she has become the woman she is today.
Juliette realized one of her dreams in 2017 when she went with her club to the IKC world championship in Portugal, and she won medals. Continuing that dream, in 2023 they went for the second time to the IKC world championship where she won first place in forms.
Now, Juliette looks forward to the moment when she has her Kenpo black belt. She remembers the time when her father told her, “I look forward to seeing your surname on your kimono.” She says that will be the most beautiful thing for her.
Juliette tries to inspire young girls and make them want to do Kenpo. For her, it’s very important that girls understand they can also do martial arts and learn how to defend themselves.
Juliette is a future psychologist, which she feels is important for her funny and crazy club, and she thanks her club for everything — for their teaching, for the good moments spent with them, and for the new ones to come.
