My name is Selma Tutt-Pyk. I was born in a beautiful mountain town in the Rhône Alps, close to Chamonix, France. I’m 17 years old and have lived in Telluride, Colorado since I was very young. In the fall, I will be studying Psychology at Colorado College. Recently, I have earned the rank of 1st degree black belt under the guidance of Mr. Rekdahl, Mrs. Pfefer, Mr. McClure and others at BWKS.
I have been training for ten years and have developed a profound love for Kenpo and the people I train with. It has taught me about trust, commitment, inner-strength, and putting my heart into what I do. As this rank
moving forward, I am delighted to teach as well as offer service to my family, friends and fellow Kenpoists. For me, black belt is the continuation of a wonderful journey.
I am honored to train amongst passionate martial artists that love this art as well. Thank you to my mom and dad for supporting me throughout my journey and to Mr. White, Mrs. White, Mrs. Pfefer, Mr. McClure, Mr. Rekdahl and everyone who has made it possible for me to become the martial artist that I am today.
