Shauna started her martial arts journey at just 7 years old, earned her yellow belt, then decided to restart from white belt in Celbridge under Mr. Edward Downey** — because clearly commitment was never going to be a half-measure.
Internationally, her face is anything but unfamiliar. A multiple-time European Champion, Shauna has spent years making sure people across the continent remember exactly who she is.
And if Europe wasn’t enough, she took things overseas early. At just 12 years old, Shauna travelled to California, competed on a ladies black belt team at the IKC, live streamed across the USA, and came back with a win. No pressure. No big deal .
More recently, she brought that same confidence off the tatami as the host of the latest edition of Kenpo Connections in Newbridge, closing a hugely successful event and proving she’s just as comfortable commanding a room with a microphone as she is commanding a match.
