Tabitha Howard –

After seven years of practicing martial arts, this evening I had the honor and privilege of officially leading two classes (one group, one private) at Coach Ken Kellogg’s karate studio

He has so graciously allowed me to take on the role of the lead female instructor of the young ladies, and I am quite humbled. However, with great power comes great responsibility, and this is not something I take lightly.

I must hold myself accountable and stay consistent in the craft, even if that means making adjustments in other areas of my life. Whenever I’m teaching, I’m also learning.

Hello! I’m Tabitha and I have been practicing American Kenpo Karate for about 7 years. My journey started years ago when I saw several colleagues practicing karate at a dojo, and met the man who many years later would become my coach.

Time passed, and by God’s incredible hand of orchestration, my coach and my dad ended up becoming co-workers and Dad found out that he taught karate. And the rest is history!

Dad started taking classes, and after some hesitation, I soon followed. I am a much different person now than I was then, and my purpose in this lifestyle as a martial artist extends so far beyond myself. And now I get the honor to teach this amazing combat art to young ladies, and show them that beauty, brawn, grace, and confidence can co-exist, while glorifying God in the process!”
